For just a second imagine you could go back and meet your younger self, what would you say? Would you go back to a specific point in time? I would probably jump around to a few places because each message would be slightly different.
I would say:
Losing your dad wasn’t in the plan – it’s hard explaining this to a 13 year old, but one day you will use this pain and grief to help others you meet in life 🤍
Don’t expect everyone to like you, some will, some won’t – but I promise you’re going to 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚.
Even though you’re only 21 years old, you’re going to make an amazing mom.
Your kids will test your patience. There will be days when you think you’ve done everything wrong – but one day they’re going to grow up and thank you for giving them boundaries and teaching them real life lessons.
Don’t spend your days worrying about things you can’t control. Embrace and appreciate everything around you instead of wasting your days away on worry.
Breakups are hard. But one day you’re going to build a life with someone who believes in your dreams and challenges you to chase after them. He’ll be your friend, your worst and best critic – but most of all you will see each other through good times and hard times. There’s no such thing as a perfect marriage – but together you will be imperfectly perfect ❤️
You’re going to meet a lot of people in your life. Pay attention to who God puts in your path. It may be that you need to learn something from them, or perhaps they need to learn something from you.
Opportunities are always around you – recognize and pursue them. You’re far more talented than you realize, the only person stopping you — is you.
Some days are hard. Sometimes things just go wrong. Embrace the lessons but never stop evolving.
