INGREDIENTS
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 (24 oz) jar pasta sauce of choice
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 small yellow onion, diced
2 cups water
3 cups penne pasta, uncooked
1 cup low-moisture part-skin mozzarella cheese
fresh basil, julienned
INSTRUCTIONS
In a large skillet, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft and translucent. Brown meat on medium heat; drain. Return to skillet.
Add pasta sauce and water; mix well. Stir in pasta.
Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 16 to 18 min. or until pasta is tender; stir.
Top with cheese; cover. Cook 1 min. or until cheese is melted.
Sprinkle with fresh basil over top.
