Pizza Pasta Casserole

INGREDIENTS

1 lb lean ground beef

1 cup uncooked medium shells pasta 

2 tbsp diced yellow onion

1/2 tbsp minced garlic

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 (14 oz) jar pizza or marinara sauce or marinara sauce 

1 1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

Pizza toppings of choice; pepperoni slices, bell pepper, onion, black olives 

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
Cook pasta to al dente according to package directions; rinse/drain then set aside.
In a large skillet, cook and crumble ground beef until no longer pink. Drain grease. Add onion, garlic, Italian seasoning – stir in pizza/marinara sauce. Combine and remove from heat.
Add cooked, drained pasta to casserole dish followed by beef mixture. Stir to combine then top with Mozzarella cheese. Add desired toppings. Cover and bake for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
Carefully remove pan from oven. Let stand for at least 5 minutes before serving.
