Sweet & Savory Dry Rub Salmon

INGREDIENTS

Salmon Rub:

1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp paprika
1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp chili powder
Large salmon filet – thawed

INSTRUCTIONS
The smoky flavors of the grill combined with the cedar flavors of the wood plank gives this salmon an amazing wood smoked flavor.

Soak cedar plank for 1-2 hours
in water.

Heat the plank: Turn grill to medium-high heat. When ready, place the pre-soaked cedar plank on the hot grate and close the lid – leave it there for about 4-5 minutes.

Pat salmon pieces dry and season with salmon rub.

Arrange salmon pieces evenly on the plank and squeeze lemon over top.

Grill salmon for about 15 to 25 minutes (depending on thickness of the filets), or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Be careful not to overcook.

Oven Baked Option:
Place cedar plank on a baking sheet and bake salmon in the oven for 15-20 minutes, depending on salmon thickness.

Salmon should flake easily and reach a temperature of 145 F.

Garnish with lemon and choice of veggies.

Enjoy!
